The Battle of Tourond's Coulee/Fish Creek
The historic site of The Battle of Tourond’s Coulee can be found approximately 32km north east of the Town of Aberdeen. A monument to commemorate the April 24th, 1885 battle is erected at the site. The battle itself took place 400m west of where the monument is placed.

General Middleton’s Camp
General Middleton’s Camp refers to the area where Middleton’s troops retreated and remained for two weeks following the Battle of Tourond’s Coulee. The camp was situated approximately 1 mile north west of the battle site. The road to General Middleton's Camp was rebuilt in 2023.

Clark’s Crossing Monument
Clark’s Crossing is a place of note in the 1885 Battle of Tourond’s Coulee. Half of General Middleton’s troops crossed the South Saskatchewan River at this location on the way to Batoche, days prior to the April 24th Battle of Tourond’s Coulee. A monument is erected on Edenburg Road in the RM of Aberdeen approximately 8km east of the historical Clark’s Crossing location.

Trans Canada Trail – Northern Trails of Saskatchewan
Approximately 19km of the Trans Canada Trail system runs through the northern part of our Municipality. The Trans Canada Trail offers a wonderful view of the South Saskatchewan River, while taking you by a few historic places of note, including the monument for General Middleton’s Camp and the monument for the Battle of Tourond’s Coulee.
