Notary Public & Commissioner for Oaths
The RM Office offers Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths services by appointment only during regular office hours. To request an appointment, please email rm373@sasktel.net or call 306-253-4312.
A person must be physically present before the Notary/Commissioner and prove his or her identity (using photo identification).
Notary Public
Notaries Public administer oaths and take and receive affidavits, affirmations and declarations. A Notary Public is frequently asked to make a notarial copy of a document for official purposes, such as signing passport documents or certifying copies of birth certificates.
Commissioner of Oaths
A Commissioner of Oaths is a person authorized to administer and witness the swearing of oaths or solemn affirmations as it relates to affidavits for legal matters. Commissioners may witness declarations; however, they do not certify the truth of the statements contained in a document.
