The Bingo Committee:

What does it do?
The Bingo Committee helps to organize, staff bingos with volunteers and report committee activities directly to the Parks and Rec Board. Bingos are held at City Centre Bingos on 22nd Street in Saskatoon 1-2 times each month. The Bingo Committee is required to meet once per month, meetings are usually at the RM Office in the evening. The Bingo Committee is required to have a Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Committee members would also need to take turns attending Bingos throughout the year.

Why we need you?
We require 3-5 volunteers to sit on our Bingo Committee in order for our community to benefit from the funds that Bingos can bring in. Without volunteers we will not be able to continue to offer fundraising bingos. Many hands make light work!

How to join the Bingo Committee:
Please email parksandrecaberdeen@gmail.com and note your interest in joining the Bingo Committee and we can ensure that all of those interested in joining will get a follow up email when we get a date set for a Bingo Committee meeting.

Group Ran Bingos
The Parks and Rec Board would like to offer Group Ran Bingos to our community not-for-profit groups. Please note that this would be different from when individuals sign up to work a bingo for membership dues. This would be where all the funds are raised for the group as a whole, there are also additional funds raised through this opportunity.

How much money can your group raise?
The amounts raised at each bingo do vary, there is no minimum guaranteed, but please note that running Bingos through Parks and Rec raised around $75,000 in 2025, so the potential is there to raise funds for our local groups and our Board wants to ensure that user groups are offered a piece of this pie.

What does this look like?
Your group could pick a bingo date to run. Your group would encourage up to 21 of your group volunteers to work at this bingo. If you are not able to get 21 workers, you would let the Bingo Committee know and they can fill those positions either with other volunteers or with cash paid staff members.

How to Sign Up?
For user groups that are interested in running a bingo for their group please follow up by emailing parksandrecaberdeen@gmail.com and we can plan this out together. We would like to plan ahead as far as possible, but we usually receive bingo dates as set by City Centre Bingo only one to two months in advance. There are one to two bingos for Parks and Rec each month.
